There is no legal risk to running a sports book outside of the
US, provided you're outside of the US. But try to run a book
inside the US while operating one of the sleaziest scamdicapping
boiler rooms of all time (evading taxes all the while) and you'll
likely end up with a prison term. Jeff Allen found this out
the hard way and is now serving hard time. Read about it here.
